Day 16: Pattern Project

Pattern Project
Stage 1 was to record the patterns on the objects and then develop them into your own patterns. I did this by using the negative space to create repetitive shapes, tracing paper for layers and rubbings for texture. This stage was simple as we have now been sketching for the past two weeks so it is getting a bit repetitive.
The next stage was to turn the patterns into an A4 copy then cut down the a vertical middle line. I found this whole day very similar to the past few weeks as it was showing us where to get inspiration and techniques in which we can manipulate the inspiration. In this case it was using the inspiration of pattern and turning it into a stencil for print making.

These tasks have all helped in terms of basic skills which will allow me, at a later date, to have good research and more possibilities in terms of creating artwork. That is also why I am looking forward to learning more about each subject e.g photography so I can make a decision for my pathway I would like to specialise in.
